Sub-Project

In the meantime, while waiting for my package for my next build, here comes an SD Kit

Starting with the head...

I decided to put the stickers for the eyes

Head armor is a separate piece, somewhat similar to the BB Senshi line, Blue stickers for the cameras in front and in the back, the V fin is molded only in white, kinda disappointing cause i had to put stickers for it, well, i will paint it next time anyway

The Body... two separate pieces plus two polycaps for the waist and neck..

Shoulder armor, arms and hands, pretty straight up build, two polycaps one for the elbow and one for the arm under the shoulder, again hands are molded in single color

Legs and feet are three parts each plus two polycaps for the ankle and hip connections, the feet are two parts one white and one red, and it is angled like that (see picture), alot of panel lining options on the legs..

Waist armor with two parts both molded in white, panel lining is optional and lots of parts to paint...

All the parts are molded in three separate runners mostly white, blue and red...

All snapped together....

With weapons and backpack, sadly, the weapon should be white instead it is red, so more parts to paint,, backpack is also molded only in blue and no stickers for the parts that should have been white....

Compared to the SD Destiny Gundam, the Build Strike Full Pacakget is bigger, bulkier, but simpler and lesser parts to build, but lots and lots of parts that needs to be painted to make it look better, it is a solid kit, not to many options in displaying it cause obviously the arms and legs are shorter and less articulated compared to its bigger scale'd brothers, but still, it is always fun building kits...

Until next time....

1/100 MG Deathscythe

This is my second kit of the master grade series, this is my favorite of all Gundam

This was fun build, though there were few challenges on this one the eyes and cameras are painted with clear green and black, most of the panel lines are also filled in.

The Buster Shield has a gimmick that opens up and it has an effect part that attaches on the front to become a projectile weapon.

The legs were the most problematic part of this build because the peg that attaches the leg to the hips are loose, i fixed it by putting mounting putty on the peg and painted it so it would stick on the hole.

Overall this kit is nice despite the problem with the legs, it was an easy fix anyway, and also i guess it is only my kit that is like this (depends on the manufacture run, i guess) not too much painting required unless you want to change the colors to the TV Version then that's the only time you really need to paint it, not too many panel lines on this kit, decals are also included dry transfer decals and caution markings stickers, effect parts are also nice, the Beam Scythe is not just one solid piece but made up of four parts, pose-ability just like all Master Grade Kits (Wing Series) uses almost the same inner frame so you can get a pretty decent pose using an action base 1.

Thanks again for visiting my blog, until next time.

Welcome!

Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog!
Let my two Gundams welcome you as well.

I started building Gundam plastic model kits back in mid 90's and i stopped building them for a good 10+ years, because of school and whole lot of things, but now i'm back into building kits, i started off with the Gundam Heavyarms 1/100 Master Grade with some minor painting on the kit, and i would say, i missed alot of stuff ever since i stopped from building kits, and Bandai sure had improved their R&D on how to thrown in gimmicks and all for the master grades, it was a challenge for me to build a master grade since it was my first time building a master grade kit (cause most of my kits back in the 90's are either 1/144 No Grades or 1/144 High Grades cause those are the only ones i could afford back in the time since i was still in school) took me a good while (2 days = 48Hours) to finish Gundam Heavyarms, it is built and kinda little bit painted but it is not fully painted, but i'm happy with the results.

Wing Gundam kits are one of my favorite series, i will be posting more as soon as i get to build my other kits and hopefully to get an airbrush kit soon.

Welcome and Thank you and see you next time!
